Nestled inside the curve of a brook that babbles through 100 acres of nature preserve just 45 MINUTES from midtown (really!) sits this 1940's summer cottage that has been turned into a 5.1, THX-calibrated mixing studio, complete with a ten foot digital projection, an expanded Pro Tools system, a comfortable couch next to a woodburning stove, and an endless supply of excellent espresso. Outside is a 1964 Airstream guesthouse and edit room, that can house up to three pro tools workstations. It is a wonderful, peaceful spot to focus on creating and polishing the sound of your film. The list of people who have chosen the Cottage for their film sound is long and distinguished, including two academy award winner. Technically, the cottage is 100% compatible with Gigantic Post, so often a project that begins at the cottage can finish in the big room at Gigantic. In this way, the needs of a lower-budget production can be accommodated without compromise.
